2012—$20 Fine Silver Coin - Farewell To The Penny
In 2012, the last Canadian penny was struck at the RCM's Winnipeg facility. This fine silver collectable coin pays homage to the Canadian one-cent coin. The iconic maple leaf twig design created by G.E. Kruger-Gray that has appeared on all our pennies since 1937 (with the exception of the Centennial penny released in 1967) takes centre stage on the $20 for $20, but with the added twist of a watery setting.
